Automatic updates
Dreamie auto-updates whenever it's connected to WiFi and sitting idle in the Ambience scene. For most customers, this means you never have to do anything. The next time your Dreamie is quiet on WiFi, it'll pick up the latest update on its own.
Check your current software version
Version 1.40 and later: Menu > System > Software update. This screen also shows what's included in the latest release.
Before version 1.40: Menu > System > Maintenance & info.
Update manually
Version 1.40 and later
Menu > System > Software update, then follow the prompt.
Before version 1.40
- Connect to WiFi: swipe up from the bottom of the screen, tap the WiFi icon at the top, and connect to your network.
- Swipe up to open the menu.
- Tap System.
- Tap Maintenance and info.
- Tap System info.
- Tap Software update.
Update taking a long time?
Dreamies on weak WiFi signals can take longer than 10 minutes to update, and in some cases longer still. If the download screen has been up for more than an hour, try one of the following:
- Restart Dreamie by unplugging it, waiting 10 seconds, and plugging it back in. Once Dreamie is rebooted and back online, the update should automatically start.
- Move Dreamie closer to your WiFi router and try again from there.
Not seeing an update?
A few things to check:
- Confirm Dreamie is connected to a 2.4 GHz WiFi network. If you're unsure, our WiFi troubleshooting guide walks through it.
- Leave Dreamie idle in the Ambience scene for a while so it can download and install in the background.
