Dreamie OS 1.5 is our biggest Dreamie update since launch. It introduces phone-free podcast playback, a brighter and more customizable sunrise, an auto-fade lamp, and a redesigned library.
Your Dreamie installs updates automatically when it's connected to Wi-Fi and sitting idle in Ambience. To check for updates manually, head to Menu → System → Software update.
Released April 21, 2026.
Podcasts on Dreamie
Dreamie is the first bedside device that plays podcasts without a phone, an app, an account, or a subscription. More choice, delivered free from distractions.
What's included:
- Search across millions of podcasts directly on Dreamie
- Follow your favorite shows for easy access
- A redesigned library with featured Podcasts, recently played, and continue-where-you-left-off categories
- Mini player in the library showing what's currently playing, with a shortcut back to the now-playing screen
- A quick access sleep timer built into the Wind Down scene's home screen, so your podcast fades out on its own
- Automatic transition to noise masking when the timer ends. No abrupt silence, no reaching for your phone.
- Parental controls in Menu → System → Podcasts
Tips for the best experience:
- Start Wind Down first, then pick your podcast. The Wind Down timer will carry the podcast with it.
- Keep the volume lower than you would during the day. Speech stays intelligible at surprisingly quiet levels once your bedroom is quiet.
A brighter, more customizable sunrise
The default sunrise is 2x brighter than earlier versions. New sunrise styles are inspired by sunrises from around Earth, and from the Moon, Mars, and beyond. Open your schedule settings to pick a style and set the brightness you want.
Lamp fades to off with your sleep routine
When your sleep routine starts, the lamp can gently fade out on its own, so you don't have to reach over and turn it off once you're settled in. Turn it on in Menu → Lamp Settings, and choose whether it fades out instantly or gradually.
A cleaner, more readable interface
The library has a larger layout, improved search, and followed podcasts get their own section. Across the rest of the interface, font sizes are larger, buttons are bigger, and stability is improved throughout.
A few more updates in OS 1.5

- Quick display brightness from the sun icon in the menu
- Preview content in sleep routine settings and Alarms & Schedules
What's next

- A full podcast episode list with search
- New Ambient content and alarm sounds
- Sleep insights, planned for later in 2026
